Along with his daughter, Cori, Marcus is known about the academic community as the "misfits of science" due to their digging on the odd stuff, like aliens or Bigfoot.

Later is it realized that he is also an agent of Chronos as he has his own Zoanoid battleform and had already made a deal with Crane. Basically the deal was that Crane would be able to take back to Chronos any "weapons" they discovered while he and his daughter would get the recognition for the archeological find.

In the end Marcus is killed by Crane while trying to defend his daughter when he realizes that his deal is off.
